Norwich: Police Investigate Sexual Assault

Police are investigating after a sexual assault in the Riverside Road area of Norwich.
Police were called at about 5am this morning (Saturday 9 June) to Bishopgate Bridge area of Norwich after receiving a report that a woman had been the victim of a serious sexual assault.
The 30 year old woman was walking along Riverside Road when a man, thought to be known to the victim, grabbed her and attacked her.
The victim was badly shaken and has been taken to the N and N Hospital for treatment. Enquiries are on going to locate the suspect.
The woman will be spoken to later today by specialist-trained officers to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. A seal is currently in place at the location and enquiries are ongoing.
