Norwich: Three Men Charged After Assault By Oompa Loompas

Three men accused of beating up a man while dressed as Oompa Loompas on a night out in Norwich have been charged.
Police investigating an assault which happened in Norwich in late December have charged three men.
A 28-year-old was assualted on Prince of Wales Road on Thursday 27 December 2012 in the early hours between 3.20am and 3.30am .
The victim suffered cuts and bruising during the attack which involved three people dressed as 'Oompa Loompas'.
Matthew Wright, 20 and of Decoy Road, Potter Heigham, Matthew Watling, 19 and of Lighthouse Close, Happisburgh and Louis Gelinas, 20 and of Rectory Road, Sutton, have each been charged with two counts of assault causing actually bodily harm.
Wright also faces further charges of assault occasioning actually bodily harm and racially aggravated assault in connection with an incident which happened in a taxi office on Prince of Wales Road on 22 December 2012 in which a 21-year-old man was assaulted.
All men have been released on bail with conditions not to enter licensed premises within the inner ring road of the city and will appear before Norwich Magistrates Court on Monday 8 April.
