Police in Reepham are putting on extra patrols and are trying to reassure parents after an incident involving a young girl.
A young girl was followed and grabbed by two men on Ollands Road between 3.15 and 3.45pm on Thursday.
The girl managed to run free and suffered bruising.
Broadland Chief Inspector Carl Edwards said: "This is an unusual incident for Broadland, indeed for the whole of Norfolk. We are treating it seriously but believe it was a one-off. We are increasing patrols in the area and would urge any witnesses to come forward."
The males are described as white, with short dark hair and in their late teens or early twenties. One was wearing a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans, the other was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans.
