62-year-old Roger Pratt died defending his wife after their boat was attacked off St Lucia.

The pair from Warwickshire set off on a round the world trip on their yacht, the Magnetic Attraction, from Lowestoft last July.

Roger Pratt, a retired engineer, was killed and his wife Margaret injured after three armed men boarded their boat.

Mrs Pratt received treatment for her injuries and is believed to have returned to the couple's yacht after being released last night.

They were described by Margaret's sister Jenny from Beccles, as experienced sailors and that Roger's death was a "tragic and shattering end" to their dream holiday.

Three men are still being detained in connection with the incident, and a post-mortem examination is due to be carried out today.
