Police want to find a man after a 33-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Tonning Street around 4.30pm – 4.40pm on Monday 13th September.
He's described as white, possibly in his 60s, around 5ft 6ins – 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build, with cropped grey/ white hair and wearing beige trousers and a white shirt with a blue and red check pattern down it like a stripe.
The woman contacted police yesterday, Tuesday 14th, following the incident that occurred as she walked back to her car. She had been walking along Bevan Street East when she was initially approached by the man who started to talk to her. However, he started to ask more personal questions, making the woman uncomfortable and she asked him to leave her alone. The man then walked along in front of her, continually slowing down to talk to her. He then went to go north but saw the 33-year-old heading south and changed direction. The man continued to walk near her as she went into Tonning Street and then patted the woman’s bottom.
The woman told him not to touch her, but he touched her bottom twice more before the woman shouted at him and managed to get into her car.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the man and woman walking in the area around this time or anyone with information about who the man is. If you can help please call PC 1506 Coles at Lowestoft on 01986 835300.
