Snettisham: Body Of Man Found In Woods

Police are confirming a body of a man in his 40s has been found in the Snettisham Woods area of West Norfolk, late yesterday, Sunday 3 February 2013.

Formal identification has yet to take place but the body is thought to be that of 48-year-old Andrew Simpson from the Leziate area near Kings Lynn, who was last seen on Thursday 24 January 2013.  

Police officers, assisted by Norfolk Fire and Rescue service and Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue, have conducted a series of searches during the past week and it was during one of these that the body was found. 

A post mortem examination will take place shortly.

Police say there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and it has now been referred to the coroner.
