Two teenagers have been arrested after a fire was deliberately started at an old chip shop in Dereham, in Norfolk.

It happened between 7pm and 7.25pm last Thursday (22 May) at the former Mariners Fish and Chip take away on Nunns Way.

A blaze was deliberately started which caused substantial smoke and fire damage to the building.

Two 16 year olds were arrested in connection with it and have been released on bail until July while enquiries continue.

Investigating officer, PC Craig Dixon, said: "The building is in the centre of Dereham and CCTV enquiries show a number of people in the area at the time of the incident so I'm keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously.

Anyone with information should contact PC Dixon at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
