Thetford: Man Charged After A11 crash

A man's been charged after a crash on the A11 where three passengers were injured.

At around 3.45am on Saturday, December 8th on the northbound carriageway at Thetford, a blue Audi A4 left the road and overturned into trees.

There were four people in the car. A female passenger was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with a serious arm injury and two further passengers were taken to the West Suffolk Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was arrested at the scene and taken to the Bury Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Martynaz Lenkauskas, aged 26 and of Woodlands Drive in Thetford, has been charged with careless driving, possession of cocaine, failing to provide a specimen of breath at the roadside and failing to provide a specimen of breath in custody. He has been released on bail to attend Bury St Edmunds Magistrates Court on Thursday 27 December 2012.
