Winterton: Beach Death 'Not Suspicious'

Norfolk Police are telling Heart they are not treating the death of a woman found dead on a beach at Winterton as suspicious.

The area around the beach north of Caister was cordoned off by officers at 3.45pm on Saturday afternoon.

A spokesperson from Norfolk Police said 'Police can confirm that the death of a woman found at Winterton, near Great Yarmouth is not being treated as suspicious.

Officers were alerted to the discovery about 3.45pm yesterday, Saturday 1 June.

The woman is believed to be in her 60s, although enquiries to establish her identity continue.'
