Yarmouth: Police Make Further Arrest In Murder Investigation

Officers investigating the murder of a 38 year old man in Yarmouth have today (Friday 15 November) arrested a 38 year old man on suspicion of murder.

The 38 year old was arrested in the Great Yarmouth area and is currently in Wymondham Police Investigation Centre awaiting questioning.

39 year old Kestutis Sliogeris of Cromwell Road in Peterborough was charged with murder after being arrested on Tuesday 12 November. He appeared before Norwich magistrates this morning (Friday 15 November) at 9.30am.

The victim, identified as Paulius Jakovlevas, had been living in the Great Yarmouth area since August. His body was found on Monday morning (11 November). Post mortem examinations show that Mr Jakovlevas is believed to have died from severe head injuries.

A 40 year old woman from the Peterborough area who was arrested late yesterday morning (Thursday 14 November) in connection with the incident also remains in custody.
