Armed Robbery At Bank In Northants

Police appealing for witnesses after man robbed a bank in Northants town centre.

There's been an armed robbery at a bank in Northampton town centre.

It happened on Monday 30 December just before 5pm at Santander bank on Mercers Row, opposite All Saints Church.

A man threatened staff with a knife before jumping over the counter and grabbing cash. He made off through the public exit.

He's described as white, 5’7’’ with blue eyes, wearing grey jogging bottoms, a black woolen hat and a black scarf across his face.

He was also carrying a rucksack.
