Two masked men - who were both armed - have robbed at shop in Wellingborough.

It happened yesterday (Thursday) between 8.24pm and 8.28pm at the Redwell Store on Harrowden Road.

The first man who entered the shop was carrying a small rifle, and was followed shortly by a second man who was carrying a knife.

The offenders demanded money from the shopkeeper, who was working alone at the time, and took a quantity of cash as well as some produce from the shelves.

One of the men was black, about 6'2" tall, skinny, in his early 20s, with a Caribbean accent. He was wearing a blue mask that covered his face, so only his eyes were showing, a black track suit, dark trainers, a black rucksack and black woollen gloves.

The gun he was carrying may have been a single barrelled rifle.

The second man is of unknown ethnicity, about 5'7" tall, skinny, in his early 20s with a Caribbean accent. He was wearing a black balaclava and a dark coloured track suit, with dark trainers and black woollen gloves.

He was carrying what's thought to be a brown plastic handled kitchen knife.
