Body Found Six Years On

A body found next to the A45 in Northamptonshire in August 2011 has finally been identified as a man who went missing six years earlier.

Philip Holmes (right) from Wellingborough was 48 when he was reported missing by his carers on 29 August 2005.

His body was found by the side of the A45 near Earls Barton in August 2011.  Tests meant it was only formally identified as his in January 2012.

Northamptonshire Police say Mr Holmes' family have been made aware of the discovery.  Detectives say his death isn't being treated as suspicious.
