8 Locked Up After Dawn Raids

Four men and four boys have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit violent disorder following dawn raids at addresses in Rushden today (Thursday April 14th).
Three of those arrested are aged 16, one is aged 17, one aged 18, one aged 19 and two aged 21.
The six addresses were in Pyghtles Terrace, Rose Avenue, Cromwell Road, Oswald Road, Batsmans Drive and Denton Close.
All eight have been taken into custody at Wellingborough and Weston Favell, Northampton police stations.
Two misuse of drugs warrants were also issued and a quantity of drugs, drugs parapernalia and cash have been seized.
The raids were co-ordinated by Inspector Vaughan Clarke, the East Northamptonshire police sector commander.
He said: "The arrests have been made following information received about a criminal group in Rushden conspiring to commit violent disorder in the town."
