People Evacuated After Corby Fire

A flat fire caused the centre of Corby to be evacuated this afternoon.

Black smoke billowed out of Chandos House, in Queen's Square.

Northants Police imposed a 200 metre cordon in the area.

Staff were evacuated from shops in Willow Place while firefighters tackled the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
