Dan Holding Note To Thieves

A couple from Northampton have posted a note on their door apologising to thieves who broke into their house.

Daniel Owens and Kate Barrett had their home broken into last Sunday (10th November).

Mr Owens told Heart they don't have very expensive taste so there wasn't many items of high value for the thieves to take.

Although they were both very upset by the thought of having strangers going through their belongings, Miss Barrett decided to make light of the situation and write a letter 'apologising' for not having the luxury items you would expect to find in most modern day households:

"Dear Burglars,

Thanks for popping by the other night and we're sorry we didn't have more for you to take.

As you now know, we don't have particularly expensive tastes so there’s no need to come again, unless you would like to take my collection VHS videos and cassettes- Dan is very disappointed you didn't take these first time round.

If you would like them just knock on the front door and ask- no need to break another patio door as its dreadfully hard work cleaning up all the glass.

Thanks for all the finger prints- we really appreciate those.

Lots of love

Kate and Dan xxx"
