Couple in their 80s stood up to burglars in their home.
An elderly couple in Northampton bravely challenged a gang of men carrying weapons, who burgled their house.
It happened at around 7:30pm on Tuesday 21 January.
The 80-year-old woman and 81-year-old man were at home in Spenfield Court in Lings, when they answered a knock at their door.
They were then confronted by seven men, carrying weapons, including a knife and iron bar, who pushed their way into the house.
But the couple stood up to the men and they left the house, empty handed.
The victims suffered minor injuries.
The offenders are described as five white and two black men, all wearing camouflage patterned and black trousers, with dark face coverings.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
