Elderly Man Seriously Injured In Crash

A 70-year-old man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in St Leonard's Road, Northampton this morning.

The man was towards London Road at 7.25am, when he stepped into the road and was struck by a grey Ford Fiesta being driven by a 21-year-old man.

The pedestrian sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Northampton General Hospital for treatment. He has since been transferred to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have any information.
