Knifepoint Robbery At Crematorium

Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery that took place at Kettering Crematorium, Rothwell Road, at around 1.45pm on Tuesday 20 August.

A 64-year-old woman was in the Lawn burial area of the crematorium when she was approached by two men. One of the men, who was carrying a knife, shouted ‘give me your car keys’ and then grabbed her wrist and pushed her to the ground.

He took the car keys from the victim and both men ran off. They drove away in the victim’s car, a silver Ford Fiesta.

The offenders were both white men. One of the men is described as around 5ft 8ins tall, in his late twenties to early thirties and of medium build. He was clean shaven, with short dark hair and had an Irish accent. He was wearing a dark jacket, white shirt and dark trousers.

The second man is described as around 5ft 8ins tall, in his early twenties, of medium build and clean shaven. He was wearing a light-coloured top and grey trousers.
