Punch Knocks Man Unconscious

A man has been knocked unconscious after being punched in the face in Daventry.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the serious assault in New Street.

The incident happened between 2.10am and 2.25am on Sunday 14th July. A group of men were arguing in New Street, near to The Square nightclub. The argument escalated and a 32-year-old man was assaulted by one of the group.

The victim was punched in the face and fell to the ground, losing consciousness. The man received hospital treatment as a result of severe facial injuries.

The offender is described as a white man, aged around 25, 6ft tall, of stocky build with short, mousy hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and green shorts.
