Housing charity Shelter are warning homeowners need to be ready for higher mortgage repayments if interest rates rise later in 2011.
Research they have done has found Corby is England's biggest 'repossession hotspot'. The Northamptonshire town saw 155 repossession orders in the year to March 2011. Northampton, Wellingborough and Milton Keynes also had above average levels of repossession.
A possession order is an advanced stage of the repossession process which means a homeowner is at serious risk of losing their home.
