Teenager sexually assaulted

Police are appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault that took place on the A4500 between Earls Barton and Wilby, on Sunday 16 January.

A 16-year-old girl was walking from Northampton and was between Earls Barton and Wilby, when she was approached from behind by a man who inappropriately touched her.
 
The incident took place at around 8pm and after pushing the man away the girl ran off towards Wilby.
 
It is believed that a vehicle passed by the incident as it was taking place, and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it.
 
The offender was of mixed race, between 5ft11" and 6ft tall, of medium build, had a scar above his right eye brow and had a northern accent. He was wearing a black hooded top and blue baggy jeans.
 
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may recognise the description of the offender invovled.
