Liz - "To run this half marathon will be a major achievement for me it has given me the motivation to start back running, and knowing the money raised will go to such a great charity as Childline makes me want to do it all the more."

Nick - "I'm running because I have a niece who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and Have a Heart A Heart have in the last couple of years have supported children's charities"
Emma Blizzard – "Well I have never really been into fitness or done anything remotely sporty in the past….So this is a huge challenge I have set myself… I truly believe that anything is possible when you set your mind to it, it has been a lot of hard work and an emotional rollercoaster, I’m not going to lie there have been times where I have wanted to quit, however the thought of how much money we could raise keeps me going, as well as the amazing support from my boyfriend/family/friends …Bring it on!’’
Andrew - "Angela managed to twist my arm when I was with her one day….and well, at the time it seemed like a good idea! Fantastic charity and its getting me in the gym!"
Gemma - "Well Angela talked me into it! It is great to have something to aim for and achieve, also we are raising money for a deserving charity which makes me even more determined to do this’’
Bex (from Slimming World) -"I'm doing the half marathon coz Angela asked me to! She wanted some support and its nice to do stuff together. I've loved the sense of achievement training is giving me.....planning on doing the Great North Run too!’’
John Sowden - "This will be my first half marathon so I’m a little bit nervous at running 13 miles for the first time. Having the deadline of May 13th in my head is driving me to do the necessary training which involves 4 runs per week. Apart from this event getting me in better physical shape it’s also a good opportunity to raise money for a great charity in Childline."
Tara - "I'm really excited to be joining in with the half marathon as I've actually never run one! As a personal trainer I've done lots of races but the longest I've done is 10k so I'm really looking forward to the challenge whilst having a fab time and helping to motivate the team!"
Emily - "I’m running in support of Childline and supporting Angela and Emma –making sure they get to the finish line- even if I have to pull them with reins!"
Lesley - "I'm doing it to support my little sister Bex! Its been great spending quality time and getting fit together’’
