Cheshire Fire show off virtual training

The incident command training centre is being shown off to other fire services at conference

It looks like a gamer's dream, but the incident command training centre is actually a sophisticated piece of kit.

In the virtual environment firefighters can be taught on what they need to do to command a major incident without the need of a full and expensive exercise which could involve a number of on-call fire crews.

The suite also has the benefit of being totally controllable so trainers can adapt a situation as it develops.

Today (Wed) Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service are hosting a conference to show the industry how they can use these types of technology to help their development.
