Glyndwr University tribute to student

Gurdeep Hayer was in his first year at Glyndwr University, in Wrexham, studying Business. He left Manchester nightclub Sankey's alone, before getting into a taxi. That was the last time he was seen.

Staff and students at Glyndwr University have been deeply saddened by the tragic news and have been paying tribute to him. Gurdeep has been described as 'extremely popular and talented student'. Staff have spoken fondly of the student.
President of the Student Union at Glyndwr University, Adam Fuller also paid tribute to Gurdeep on behalf of all the students and described how well he was liked by all of his peers.

"Gurdeep was a fantastic student, really enthusiastic, loved studying here. He was a first year under graduate student within Business. Staff and students will miss him." said Professor, Helen James, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the university.

Helen went on to say: "The thoughts of everyone at Glyndwr University are with Gurdeep's family at this tragic and awful time."
Gurdeep's death is not being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem is due later on this week.
