William, 3, suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
Kelly Magee from Prenton wants the government to help research into the disease to take its final steps.
Kelly released something was wrong with her son William when at 2 years old, he wasn't walking. After seeing specialists he was diagnosed with having Duchenne, a degenerative muscle disease for which at the moment there is no cure.
As well as petitioning the government Kelly, 32, is also holding a charity night at Leasowe Castle to help raise funds for research into the disease.
