Townfield Primary School has just been awarded a UNICEF Level 1 award for being a Rights Respecting School. This award highlights all the fantastic work that we do within school to raise the awareness of Children's rights and develops our pupils to become Global Citizens. As a school we are linked to a charity called The Bloomtrigger Project which helps to save the Rainforest in Brazil. The pupils in school earn house points if they show one of our three traits of Respect, Responsibility and Honesty. Once they have received 20 house points they are awarded a Bloom which they then digitally plant on the Bloom Trigger website and it saves a hectar of the rainforest. The children are very aware of how their behaviour and actions can have an impact on the wider community. To look up the Bloomtrigger work, go to www.bloomtrigger.com
