Fostering can be an amazing experience but may not always be easy, it is important that you take time to think things through, and talk it over with your friends and family.

The Fostering and Adoption Team have a wealth of experience and a commitment in providing a first class service to both children and young people as well as for foster carers and adopters. They work in partnership with their foster carers and adopters enabling children to meet their full potential.

It is their job to find adoptive or foster families for the children in Oxfordshire who cannot live with their birth families. They do everything they can to help children remain within the families they are born to. Sadly, a few children cannot and it is these children who need to be adopted or fostered. Sometimes children need to spend just a short time in foster care and then they can return home. Their aim is that they place local children and young people with local foster families in Oxfordshire.
