Heart's Jason Donovan's started a charity race raising money for Oxford's Children's Hospital.

It's hoped the 5-mile OX5 Run on Sunday 18 April 2010 will generate £65,000 for new equipment.  Around 65,000 children from across the Thames Valley region are treated at the Hospital every year.

Jason - who has a house near Wantage - started the race at 10.30am, but the Neighbours star told Heart he wasn't able to run himself because of his gruelling schedule in the West End.

"I've been doing a lot of work for the Children's Hospital over the years and I guess that primarily came from when I was in the jungle, I was asked to choose a particular charity that I wanted some money to go to."
