Parents Want to Boycott SATs

Just over half the parents we've questioned in Oxford in an exclusive Heart survey, think SATs should be scrapped.

Around 1 in 6 schools across Oxfordshire are boycotting the tests for 10 and 11 year olds because two teachers' unions claim they disrupt children's education.

Oxfordshire County Council confirmed 38 schools out of 232 have boycotted them but 12 schools haven't let them know what they've decided to do yet.

The Department for Children, Schools and Families say SATs are an important way of making sure parents know how their child's doing in class.
