An overturned lorry on the A1 has caused severe traffic delays around Peterborough.
Emergency services were called at around 5am this morning (Tuesday) after the lorry overturned between the junctions for the A605 and the A47.
The HGV, which was travelling on the southbound carriageway, overturned and crashed through the central reservation.
According to Cambridgeshire Police, nobody was hurt.
However, the incident led to severe delays on the A1 around Peterborough.
The northbound carriageway of the road between Peterborough Services and Wansford was closed for recovery work to take place, with diversions through Peterborough quickly becoming heavily congested.
One lane of the southbound carriageway was also shut due to debris spread across the road, leading to delays back towards Stamford.
At around 9am, The Highways Agency said the lorry had been turned the right way up and recovery work was continuing.
By 11am, one lane of the northbound carriageway had re-opened, however delays remained substantial.
