Police in Peterborough are putting up posters appealing for help to trace a neck chain thought to have been worn by local man Michael Green on the night he was murdered.
Posters are going up in the Bretton area of Peterborough today in a bid to trace the metal chain a week on from his death.
The 23 year-old's body was discovered in an underpass near Tyesdale in the early hours of Wednesday, May 28.
A post mortem found he died from head injuries consistent with an assault.
Detective Inspector Tim Redfearn said: "We are very keen to trace this chain which we believe Michael had been wearing on the night he was killed. Hopefully someone has seen the chain and will recognise it from the images on the poster. I would urge them to call police."
Four teenagers including one girl - aged between 15 and 17 - have been charged with Mr Green's murder.
A 22 year-old man has also been charged with assisting an offender.
