Six Arrested After Peterborough Attack

Six people have been arrested after two men were attacked on their way home from a night out in Peterborough.

The two men were walking through Central Park at around 3:25am on Sunday when a group of around eight men approached them from behind.

The victims were then attacked and had their wallets and mobile phones stolen.

They were seriously hurt in the attack and had to be taken to Peterborough District Hospital.

Police are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.

DC Kevin Poole said: "I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Central Park when this incident took place or has information about who is responsible."
