Cambridgeshire Police have confirmed that two bodies have been found in Thorney, near Peterborough.
Police are currently treating the discovery of the bodies in the village as 'unexplained'.
Officers were alerted by a member of the public who found the bodies near the Dog In A Doublet pub.
The force say officers are currently keeping an 'open mind' as to whether the deaths are linked to the murder of 48 year old Kevin Lee from Fletton, who was found dead in a ditch near the A16 at Newborough on Saturday.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: "We were called just before 11.30am by a member of the public following the discovery of two bodies in Thorney.
The deaths are being treated as unexplained at this time."
Ashley Seward-Morris, who manages the Dog In A Doublet Pub, said: ''The pub is only just opening now, and we've only got a couple of customers in.
We've all only just found out the news, and were wondering if it was a wind-up really, because it's hard to comprehend."
