Three Escape From Peterborough Fire

A Police investigation has started after a man, woman and ten month old baby were forced to jump out of a first floor window to get out of their burning Peterborough flat.

It happened around 10:15pm last night in Church Walk.

The man and baby weren't hurt but the woman was seriously injured.

Officers are now looking into how the fire was started.

Detective Inspector Mike Branston said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the Church Walk area last night and noticed any suspicious activity.

This was an extremely frightening experience for this family and it¿s important we establish how this fire started."
