Peterborough: Woman Sexually Assaulted

A woman has been assaulted while walking along a street in Peterborough.

Cambridgeshire Police say the 26 year old woman was walking in West Town, and was approached by a youth.

The youth asked her twice for a cigarette, then sexually assaulted her in Nicholls Avenue.

Another woman then approached on foot, and the attacker walked away.

The victim called a relative who contacted police. 

The youth is described as Asian, 15 to 20, slim, about 5'7", with bushy eyebrows and was wearing a dark clothing and possibly a skull cap. 

DC Sarah Morley said: "This was a terrifying experience for the victim and I am keen to find the youth responsible as soon as possible.

In particular, I would appeal for the woman who disturbed the attacker to come forward as she might have important information.
