Arrest After Man's Body Is Found

An arrest has been made over the death of a man in his home.

The body of Gerald McGough, 56, was discovered in a property in Watson Street, Motherwell, at around 8.30pm on Saturday.

Police launched an investigation and a 53-year-old man has now been arrested and detained in connection with the death.

A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal and the man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
