The Kelpies near Falkirk will be illuminated along with Edinburgh Airport's air traffic control tower to mark Scotland's hosting of the major championship golf event
Glasgow's Hydro venue, where top musical acts will perform at a gala concert this evening, will also shine from the twilight hours.
The European and US golf teams will be presented on stage at the event featuring Midge Ure, Nile Rodgers, Amy MacDonald and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
Gordon Dewar, chief executive of Edinburgh Airport, said: "The next few days will be very busy with thousands of golf fans expected to arrive from all over the world. Our gold tower will be an amazing sight to see as they come into land at Edinburgh Airport.''
