Man arrested in sex attack inquiry

A man has been arrested after a teenager was allegedly raped on a cycle path.

The attack on the 18-year-old happened on the track between Johnstone and Linwood in Renfrewshire last Thursday.

Police Scotland said a 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the reported assault.

He is expected to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court tomorrow.
