One of two Cameroon Commonwealth Games athletes reported missing earlier this week has been traced safe and well in the UK.
The 26-year-old and 31-year-old men, both wrestlers, vanished from their country's pre-Games training camp in Aberdeen.
They were reported missing on Tuesday afternoon but were last seen at the Hillhead Halls of Residence in Don Street on Sunday evening.
Police Scotland tonight confirmed that one of the athletes has been found in London. It is not yet known whether he is the 26-year-old or the 31-year-old.
Officers are continuing their efforts to find the second athlete.
The Cameroon team of 47 athletes arrived in Aberdeen last week for their final Glasgow 2014 preparations. The pair who went missing have not been named.
In a statement, the force said: "Police Scotland can confirm that one of the athletes reported missing from Aberdeen has been traced safe and well in London. Enquiries are continuing to locate the other athlete.''
