Three people swam to shore after their boat capsized in a loch.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Loch Sween in Argyll and Bute at around 6pm.
The three people had already reached shore by the time rescuers arrived.
They were transferred into a local boat and taken to Tayvallich where they had set off from.
A Royal Navy rescue helicopter from Prestwick, Islay lifeboat and two coastguard teams responded to the incident.
Loch Sween is around eight miles long and half a mile wide.
