Appeal As Child Injured In Bus Accident

Police are making a fresh appeal for witnesses to a collision involving a child and a bus on the Isle of Wight.

The single decker bus was being driven at the junction of Trafalgar Road and Nelson Road shortly after 9am on Friday, March 15, 2013 when it was involved in a collision with a 12 year old boy.

The child, from Newport on the Isle of Wight, was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries, which are not life-threatening. The junction was closed for approximately an hour-and-a-half while police investigated at the scene.

Polifce say no arrests have been made but are looking for anyone who saw it happen to come forward with information.
