Police are investigating after an 11-year-old boy was the victim of a robbery.

It happened at The Quadrangle at 12.30pm on Sunday March 9. The youngster was sitting on a kerb when five young men approached him.

One of the group lifted his legs up and took his trainers off of his feet. He then put the trainers in a bag and the group ran off along Arthur Road.

The trainers are Carbrini, luminous yellow, blue and white, size 3 to 3 and a half.

Police Staff Investigator Elaine Waller who is investigating said:

“We’ve been told that there was a woman walking from Arthur Road into the Quadrangle at the time of this robbery.

“We’d really like to hear from her as she may have vital information. If you have recently been offered these trainers for sale or know anyone who has suddenly acquired a pair, please contact police.”

Anyone with information should contact PSI Elaine Waller at Eastleigh by phoning 101.
