A man has been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a house in Bursledon yesterday (Wednesday, February 26).
Shortly before 3.30pm yesterday, a Range Rover was stolen from a garage in Bursledon, and minutes later came off the road and collided with the front of a house at the junction of School Lane and Church Road.
The suspect ran off and was arrested following a police search at around 6pm at an address in Hamble. The man, believed to be in his mid-30s, is currently in custody.
A woman was resident inside the house at the time, but was not injured. Considerable damage has been made to the porch and front of house.
The car has been removed from the scene.
