Dogwalker Dies After Being Hit By A Car
A 24-year-old woman's died in hospital after being hit by a car near Winchester.
Around 1pm on Wednesday, May 15th a blue Vauxhall Corsa was in collision with a woman and a dog on the B3049 near the Lainston House Hotel.
Caitlin Homan, 24, from Canton in Connecticut, USA, was taken to hospital were she was pronounced dead on Thursday morning.
Her family has flown to the UK.
The dog was taken away by a local vet and is being treated.
The driver, a 17-year-old woman from Winchester, was interviewed by police.
Officers are continuing their appeal for information and would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either the pedestrian or the vehicle prior to it.
