Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in the West End area of Southampton during the early hours of Saturday, January 12.
Sometime between 3am and 3.30am, a local woman was walking her dog near to the junction of Townhill Way and Lambourne Road.
The 38-year-old woman has told officers her dog ran over to two men. They got into an argument and the woman ended up being assaulted.
The woman was treated for her injuries at Southampton General Hospital.
PC Toru Tsuzaki, from the Eastleigh District CID, said:
“Our investigations are still in the early stages and we are conducting a range of enquiries to establish the exact circumstances of what has happened.
“The woman was out walking her dog when it appears she has been assaulted following an altercation with two men.
“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see anything? Have you heard anything that could help us with our investigation? If so, please get in touch.”
