An investigation's continuing into a crash between a car and a bus in Southampton which killed the car driver.
It happened on Lodge Road at the junction with Cedar Road, just before 7.50am on Monday March 21st - a green Daewoo Espero collided with the front offside of a Blue Star double-decker bus.
The driver of the Espero died at the scene. He's been named as 46-year-old Stuart Allen, who was from Southampton.
The front seat passenger, a 54-year-old man, was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The driver of the bus and seven passengers were examined by paramedics.
Lodge Road was closed at its junctions with Avenue Road, Portswood Road and Cambridge Road until midday while fire fighters freed the victims and collision investigators examined the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, or anyone who saw either vehicle prior to it, to call Sgt Gabriel Snuggs at Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Fairthorpe.
