Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Southampton.
At around 9pm on Thursday 31 October the 35-year-old victim had just got out of his car in Westwood Road in Portswood and started walking, when a man came up to him and spoke to him briefly before hitting him twice in the face and then made off.
The victim lost his Samsung Galaxy mobile phone at the same time but it’s not known if it was stolen.
He managed to drive home to Northam but was later taken to hospital by ambulance and treated for cuts, swelling and bruising to his face.
The attacker is described as aged around 19, of slim build with short hair. He was clean shaven and wearing a light coloured coat.
Any witnesses or anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Bitterne CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
