Drugs Raid On Southampton House

Police in Southampton have carried out a drugs raid on a house in the city after reports of drug dealing in the area.

Some cannabis, drug related paraphernalia and some possible class ’A’ drugs were recovered from an address in South Cliff Road on Thursday, December 29. Some of the items seized will need further analysis before officers can tell if they are an illegalsubstance.
Two people were questioned at the scene and further enquiries are now underway.
One man in his 30s was arrested on an unconnected matter as a warrant had been issued for his arrest after he failed to appear at court.
Safer Neighbourhoods Sergeant Helena Temple said: “We will continue to pursue and identify those who blight our neighbourhoods through their involvement in the supply of illegal drugs.

“Raids like this send out a strong message to anyone involved in drugs that  we are watching and we will take action to stop anyone dealing in illegal drugs.
“Drugs can have a major impact on local communities and we would urge anyone who has information about drug pushers to get in contact with us.
