Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly female driver was run off the road.
It happened at the Cocklydown roundabout, at 8.25am on Thursday 11 July, as the 76-year-old woman travelled north on the A326 towards Totton in a black Hyundai L10.
The woman, from Ashurst, told police she was forced to take avoiding action when a large beige vehicle cut across her.
She swerved and left the road travelling 20ft down an embankment where she hit a tree. She was shaken but uninjured.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, or anyone who saw either the Hyundai or a large beige vehicle shortly before it, to contact PC Jason Andrews at Totton Police Station on 101.
